Together with Veepee, formerly, we have developed a chatbot with which customers can quickly and easily search for products in the current supply on the website. The chatbot is powered by the Oswald chatbot platform and is available via Facebook Messenger. Customers can start a chat session from the app or on the website. Veepee is the first online pure player in our country that uses a chatbot to help customers with their purchase search.

It is now easier for Veepee customers to find the perfect clothing, shoes or other merchandise for them on Until recently, you could only select sales on the website and then filter based on a number of criteria, but a search function to find specific products was not available.

The website visitor now tells the Veepee chatbot what exactly he or she is looking for, for example brown sneakers or black jeans. The chatbot then shows the products that are relevant to the customer. Every night the new sales are synchronized with Oswald and the popularity data is also updated. As a result, your favourite brands' new releases can be shown in the chat session.

Pilot phase in Dutch

The new chatbot will be tested in a first phase on the Dutch-language Belgian website. “We will expand the project if our proof-of-value pilot phase is evaluated positively by our customers. The chatbot already increases the user-friendliness of the website. If the customer asks a question about orders or returns, an employee will take over temporarily. In the first instance we limit ourselves to the products themselves, "says Stefan Venken, CMO Veepee Northern Europe.

In the future, Veepee is considering integrating payment options with the chat software, or making personalized product suggestions based on customers' questions.
